Tumblr.com drama, craziness, overreactions, and more!

Recently, Tumblr.com has announce that they are no longer allow "adult content" on the website and let's just say, some users did not takes news all to well. I won't go into detail or post embedded links, tweets, or etc about this. But these 2 news articles will provide some background on the matter.

Long story short, the Tumblr.com app was removed from the App Store for iOS and it was due to inappropriate content from all over the site. This doesn't surprise me because, there a lot of inappropriate blogs all that site. All a user can do is just block them and report them. As a result, the recent events of Tumblr banning certain content is most likely their way of trying to get the app back in the App Store on iOS. People have been reacting left and right on this matter. Many have decided then and there to leave Tumblr for other blogging platforms like Dreamwidth, Pillowfort, New Grounds, Mastodon, Twitter, Instagram, or wherever.

For me, I had thought of leaving Tumblr not because of the banned content, but due to the fact that I'm hardly on these days. Often times, I log on every week or so to reblog a few things and then I leave. I don't make that much content like used since working full time. Honestly, it's refreshing for me. But I decided to maybe stick around a little longer. Once everything cools down, I'll see how Tumblr turns out.

Hope everyone has an awesome day!
