It's been awhile....
Jul. 1st, 2019 08:51 pm Hello! It's funny to say that my first post in 2019 is happening in July. All I can say is, the year has been a blast so far for me and many good changes have happened to me. I recently changed teams at my company, still working for the same division, but now I'm doing different things. Can't go into to much detail for confidentiality reasons, but to me it's such a glow up from my old position. Not that it was bad, but I wanted a change of pace in things. As of right now, I'm not 100% sure on how I'm doing, but I am trying my best. Sometimes, I worry a bit over my quality of work, but then I remember, I'm just following the guidelines as I go. Anyways, enough about work.
Last night, I kind of stayed up and finished my most recent Ninja Assassin fan fiction story. It's been so long since I've actually sat down and completed anything. I'm not the world's best fan fiction writer, but I find great satisfaction on just writing for my own enjoyment. Like, if there's a character who I felt deserved a better fate, I try my best to create an alternative story for them. Or, if I want to see two characters who never interacted in the canon story line, I try to write small scenes where they do. For context, it's mostly two characters who develop a friendship. I'm not really into the whole "rare pairings" as some would call it. Anyways...
Over the years, I've noticed that I'm very fond of family and friendship genres. I don't know why, but I guess it has to do with me as a person. I honestly, enjoy my friends and family very much (most of the time). As a result, I always search on FanFiction.net and sometimes Archive of Our Own for good stories related to family or friends. But it's SUPER hard at times... Every time, I go to the website, and look for stories on my favorite characters, there's always, always, always, stories on pairings in the romantic sense. Honestly, without going into too much detail, it's kind of hard to navigate the filters, when there is a LOT of romance stories.
Don't get me wrong, I do love a great romance fan fiction story myself, but as with everything, there are MANY romance genres in fiction. Which I guess these days, I don't read fan fiction stories from my favorite fan bases as often as I used to in recent past. That with a combination of being SUPER occupied with work. Which I'm happy to say, I've been there for a little over 2 years now. Which makes me very happy.
OK, no more ramblings from me.
If anyone actually reads this, have an amazing day and/or evening!
