Out of the blue today I decided to watch an anime series from the Winter 2017 season. It is titled ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. It is based off of a manga series by Natsume Ono.
At the beginning, I didn't know what to make of this anime, but what really caught my eye is the animation style and visuals. Now, I'm not too familiar with who's who in regards to animators, but I can tell from my perspective, this show is pleasing to the eyes. At least in the sense of animation quality.
Plot wise, I thought it to be very consistent and I do believe there are hints of foreshadowing throughout the show. Like for some reason, one of the ACCA Chief Officers wants to terminate Jean Otus's inspection department. An exact reason wasn't exactly given as far as I could see. Whatever it is, I have a feeling things are going to get interesting in future episodes.
Overall, I'm glad I decided to start watching this show. As mentioned before, I like animation and plot. However, there is one thing I'm curious about. Why are cigarettes so expensive in that kingdom? There was mention of some ACCA employees being involved with black market activities over tobacco. Makes you wonder how does Jean even have the money to buy them.
Also, to Jean. Stop smoking man! It's bad for you health!
